Hexham's first tech meetup TEDHex launches at Samespace on Tuesday 7th July at 6:30pm. It's your chance to meet other people working in tech, share stories and ideas and perhaps learn something. Haven't posted for ages, but we just reviewed our annual financial report and it showed that last year we grew by 106% - yes, we DOUBLED!

So here's a nice graph showing how many people checked into Samespace throughout the 3 years since we launched - steady growth, with 2025 shaping up to be our best year yet. In fact this month is already our BUSIEST MONTH SO FAR 😘

The blip in our first month was probably me coming and going about ten times a day whilst setting up 😉

Some statistics:

🕘 2,740 check-ins by those people
📅 Tuesday is our busiest day. Everyone has video calls at 2pm!
🚀 Busiest month so far: April 2025, 129 check-ins (so far)

You may have already heard, but this year we've WON the UK Startup Awards Rural Startup of the Year for North East, Yorkshire and The Humber!

Last year we were shortlisted finalists, but this year we've gone one better and only gone and won it!

This means we're in the national finals, to be held in Tring, Hertfordshire in September. Cross your fingers!
