Our favourite place 🫶🏻 A peaceful little cottage tucked away in the countryside, close enough to our bustling little village of Hillsborough, where you can wander around the castle, fort and lake, go out for a great meal, a drink or a browse in the gorgeous shops. With lovely walks right on the doorstep and plenty of amazing restaurants nearby, it’s an easy place to slow down, breathe and enjoy a few quiet days away. We hope it becomes one of your favourites too

Breakfast tastes better when it’s enjoyed slowly in a cosy cottage, tucked away in a peaceful escape where the only thing on the agenda is relaxation ☕️ 🥐

These photos take me back to 2017, when Bay Tree was just an idea, with a lot of hope, determination and excitement.
But to be honest, equal measures of fear, uncertainty and doubt.

This was a complete career change, but one which I was ready to embrace.
I honestly didn’t know where this journey would take me, but I knew I wanted to create something special.
I was passionate about offering guests a standard of accommodation I would happily stay in myself.

Since then, I have met so many wonderful guests from all over the world, and I am so very happy to share with them our wonderful little country.
Many of them are returning guests who have become special friends.
I particularly love hearing their backgrounds. Everyone has a story to tell.
Maybe in my next life I will write a book. I can assure you, I have no shortage of material!

Looking back reminds me of just how far we have come, and I am very excited for the future of Bay Tree.
