Well this week was a bit of a test. Large 5 bedroom house to clear, we had a list of items to find and glad to say we found them all. We had to arrange courier to deliver these items to our customer, we had to separate items of value and arrange for auction house to collect, we had over a tonne of paperwork to get professionally shredded, we also had a car to deal with plus many other issues coming to light during the week. Friday was house sale day all meters read and keys returned. Good job done customer very pleased. All ready to do it all again next week. It's not just about clearing rubbish.

Our availability at the moment.
Difficult one really, we are very busy we also have alot of jobs pending exchange of contracts. This can get tricky but we can usually work around it.
We also have an unusual amount of private jobs, these jobs will fit in around others. Fuel ⛽️ i filled my van up last week it was on quarter of a tank and still took over £100 to fill 🙈 i do this on average 3 times a week, i will NOT be putting my charges up to cover this, I will cover the extra myself personally to show my appreciation to our loyal customers. Every little helps

Guess the weight of this load, 15 loads this week its been a very busy week. Ill give you a clue its not overweight.

My history.
Someone has questioned my claim of nearly 40 years in the trade, apparently i don't look old enough, I'll take that as a compliment as I certainly feel old enough 😀.
So here we go 1989 at 16 years old I started work at the Crewkerne furniture emporium working up to position of furniture buyer. I spent 9 enjoyable years there until leaving to work for myself running loads of furniture and newspapers all over the place.
In the early 2000s I opened up a shop in the George centre, afew years later I opened up in East Street. All the time still clearing houses and delivering items all over the place. I opened an Internet shop that proved very popular so I dropped the shop and stuck with the Internet. I then after 22 years of 2am starts decided to drop the haulage and deliveries to concentrate just on house clearances. With my previous experience this took off and has never stopped since, picking up many solicitors and estate agents on the way. So here we are in 2026 and even with my dubious calculations I make that 37 years soon to be 38 so there stands my claim of nearly 40 years in the trade, so what next. Nearly 50 years in the trade ?
