Had a fabulous time at Stampede By The Sea with our grandson. But being us we introduced a few more elements to it, well it’s our job as grandparents right?!😂 We gave grandson the map so he navigated us around all the elephants; for each elephant found and touched (or the window touched for those indoor ele’s) he earnt 50p, half for him and half to donate to a charity of his choice; as we went along he was calculating the amount he‘d raised for charity and earned for himself. So navigation skills; maths; a lovely walk together and the feel good factor that he’d done some good all covered. Thank you Stampede By The Sea and the artists for a great installation. BTW the charity he chose when we got home was the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust as he said “they help endangered rhino’s as well as elephants”. And what better way to finish off than with fish and chips on the beach!

What a lovely idea!

So here at York HQ we have been discussing how to help are fantastic customers get through the post Christmas doldrums. After taking into consideration the logistical nightmare that starting Meals and Wheels again would be we have created a winter saver menu which is available every Lunchtime 12pm till 2pm . For those saving pennies and find are lovley main meals far to generous we have designed this menu with many pub favourites that are still decent sized meals and a dessert for just £12. Good food, No waste and affordable. Booking is advised and this will be run at least until the end of March. Share if you care and thanks for reading. 01823 601 333

Bank holiday Monday - Stockland Fair a lovely traditional, old English country fair. Games, music, displays and egg throwing - what's not to love? Looking forward to it already!😄
