🟩 Horley United FC U8 Emerald vs Horley Town
⏰️ SUNDAY 20TH SEPTEMBER 2026
🏅 POTM REGGIE

📝 MATCH REPORT

'A very close game with both sides playing some nice football.

We started stronger than the opposition with a dominant 1st half, creating plenty of opportunities.

Ronan was on form up front and calmly slotted two goals.

In the 2nd half we created less chances but Tommy rounded the keeper with some lovely feet to score.

Reggie was our player of the match, he was solid at the back throughout the game and made excellent use of the football in possession.'

Well done boys 👏

🟩 Horley United FC U7 Emerald vs Copthorne Lions
⏰️ SUNDAY 20TH SEPTEMBER 2026
🏅 POTM SEB
📝 MATCH REPORT

'A very slow start from the U7 Emeralds saw them concede early against Copthorne Youth Lions, but the boys eventually got into their stride after a couple of changes which added more energy to the team and put the opposition under a lot more pressure and by half time the Emeralds were comfortable.

The second half saw them continue where they left off in the first half and they started moving the ball a lot better making it difficult for Copthorne to win it back.

Another good performance in only their 3rd league game together as a team.

POTM: Seb brought energy to the team with his press and quick thinking.

Well done team 👏

Running a buisness is very hard work it comes with a lot of stress, long hours,7 day weeks, if I’m not at work I’m thinking about work, I sacrifice time with the most important people in my life, my family and loved ones just to provide and give my
family the best.

All the hard work does pay off though, the last few months have been very busy, work is going really well, beautiful things are happening in my life today.
Two weeks ago I married my best friend and what a beautiful day it was.

Today we are away on our honeymoon in Greece where we are lucky enough to have good family around us to be able to watch the kids while me and Zoe get to have a week away, to relax and enjoy these moments that I’m so very grateful for.

Zoe you are my rock, you support me in everything and you have played a massive part in the journey off us being where we are today.

Happy honeymoon from all of us at LJR PLASTERING
