Plans for Horsham Golf & Fitness Village have now been submitted to Horsham District Council!

Horsham Golf & Fitness Village is an ambitious vision for a new sport and health-based community, which has been shaped by extensive community and stakeholder consultation over the last four years.

Our plans imaginatively consider how to provide 800 new homes (including 280 affordable), underpinned by a viable water neutrality strategy, alongside state-of-the-art new sporting, leisure and charitable facilities, to create a lasting legacy for Horsham and the wider District. Well designed, high quality housing is needed in the District and we believe that where it is delivered, the associated community benefit should be maximised.

The approval of our application would see:

A sports hub of district wide significance, including:
• The retention and modernisation of the existing golf facility to provide an offering better suited to promoting the inclusivity of golf and encouraging a new generation of participants.
• A new facility for Horsham Hockey Club, comprising two full size pitches and training pitch, alongside changing and classroom facilities.
• A multi-use pitch suitable for a range of other sports when not in use for Hockey.
• A permanent home for Warren Clark Golfing Dreams, a charity that works with disabled and disadvantaged groups through sport and who will be able to dramatically increase their impact working from new facilities, alongside our other sporting partners.
• A new home for The Golf College, an educational facility for sixth form age students who aspire to a career in golf.
• Collaboration and partnership with Horsham Football Club and the formation of the Hop Oast Sport Committee to maximise the potential that colocation of sport and leisure facilities can realise for the District.
• A shared clubhouse and F&B facility, serving both leisure participants and the new community.

HORSHAM GOLF & FITNESS VILLAGE WILL REVITALISE HORSHAM SPORTS

Our public consultation for Horsham Golf & Fitness Village is closing on 26 Wednesday October.

Now is your last chance to give feedback on our proposals which will see a sustainably located new community neighbourhood, with sport and leisure at its heart, helping to increase capacity and accessibility for participation in sports within Horsham

Our proposals will see:

• A new facility for charity Warren Clark Golfing Dreams, increasing access to sport for disadvantaged groups
• A permanent home for Horsham Hockey Club
• A multi-use artificial pitch catering to a range of sports.
• A new home for The Golf College, a sixth form educational facility for those seeking a career in golf
• A re-modelled golf course with modern training facilities and coaching academy

Our public consultation for Horsham Golf & Fitness Village has now launched.

Horsham Golf, Horsham Hockey Club , England Hockey, Warren Clark Golfing Dreams, and and The Golf College are proposing to change the future of sport in Horsham and Southwater with a new leisure led development, expanding on the offering currently provided on site by Horsham Golf and Horsham Football Club.

Our public consultation will run until Wednesday 26 October 2022 and will include two drop-in consultation events on:

• Saturday 15 October 2022 between 10:00 and 14:00 at Park Barn, North St, Horsham, RH12 1RJ
• Wednesday 19 October between 16:00 and 19:00 at Lardner Hall, The Ghyll, Pevensey Rd, Southwater, RH13 9XZ

At these events you will be able to view our emerging proposals, speak with members of the team and provide feedback.
