Countryside Contracts is seeking an Operative / Labourer for a busy and varied role. The successful applicant will be required to provide support and assistance on a wide variety of projects.
The Responsibilities
To take instruction and guidance from the site supervisor
To undertake a wide range of projects including General grounds maintenance, Countryside management, fencing, tree work, surfacing, paving and hard and soft landscaping.
To operate a wide range of machinery and tools.
To keep the working area clean and tidy adhering to Health and Safety procedures.
Ensure wastage of materials on site is kept to a minimum.
The Requirements
Full, Clean, driving licence preferable
Experience of working outside will be an advantage
Previous experience in any of the following fields - general maintenance, arboriculture, landscaping and/or fencing will be an advantage
Previous industry experience will be an advantage
Salary dependent on experience
Expected start date: Immediately
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: £300.00-£400.00 per week

We have kept within government guidelines in respect to COVID-19.
Salary according to experience.

Bracken rolling today at Broxbourne Woods National Nature reserve near Hertford. Using this bit of kit I covered over a hectare. The bracken is flattened and the stems bent and crushed, weakening the plant. Repeated treatment over 3-4 years eventually kills off the plants without the need for chemical sprays.
You can tow this machine on the road by flipping it over onto its wheels - very clever.

Domestic work this week. Following on from edging the lawn and play area with sleepers and re-turfing, we have installed decking with steps and balustrade over the old patio. Customer is very happy!
