This part of Hove nearly looked VERY different…

Back in 1833, something extraordinary was taking shape behind Adelaide Crescent.

It was one of the most ambitious projects of its time, but just before it was due to open, things went spectacularly wrong.

And that’s only the beginning of the story.

Andy’s back uncovering another fascinating piece of Hove history, with an original 1833 map, a rather incredible story and a surprising local connection more than 160 years later.
