Same Hill Farm_ S10, Sheffield.
We are thrilled to receive Planning permission for this 02 storey side extension in the Green Belt.
This was a very difficult application with a lot of neighbour objections and nearly went to planning committee. Had it not been for some very smart thinking from Rebbeca our planning consultant we were able to get past committee and got the delegated power back to the planning officer. After a lot of back and forth including historic arial RAF photos of the site from 1950 to prove our design intent against the original structures, we got the decision for approval.
The design is based on connecting the existing farmhouse to the outbuilding annex via a large open plan living space and creation of 02 further bedrooms providing the house with a total of 06 beds and creation of āUā shape the becomes one large dwelling. The material palette is a mix of stone to match the existing then a contemporary twist of timber for the master bedroom with first floor balcony taking advantage of the stunning vista beyond.
