Thrilled to have received another lovely client testimonial this week.

Found off market via this house was well known to me, as I was also involved a number of years before, when the Vendors bought it.

Tucked away at the end of a private drive, backing onto parkland, with its own paddocks and within 10 mins walk of the mainline station - a very clever spot and as my clients say, quite a find!

Excited to be collecting keys for this lovely Kintbury farmhouse later today on behalf of my clients, who are starting an exciting next chapter out of London.

Acquired 'Off Market' with the help of Liz and ; it feels like I am completing the circle as I originally sold this house to the current owners 12 years ago in my previous life as an Estate Agent.

Edge of an A* village, tucked away but within walking distance of a mainline train station, lovely garden and pony paddocks .....what's not to love!?!

I know that my clients and their 2 young boys will love the space and freedom offered by this idyllic setup, and I can't wait to open the door to their next chapter later today once the lawyers and banks have done their bit...

The picturesque village of Kintbury is situated on the Kennet & Avon canal, midway between Newbury and Hungerford. It is a true gem of a village nestled in the heart of West Berkshire and was previously mentioned by The Daily Telegraph as one of the Top Ten villages in the UK. The community is active and welcoming - as well as pubs and a proper village shop, there is a mainline station serving London Paddington in about an hour.

If you love the outdoors, there are walks and rides in all directions as you are situated in the heart of the North Wessex Downs.

Kintbury is a lovely village to meet friends, set out for a walk or perhaps enjoy a spot of lunch. I would highly recommend .cafe in Hungerford as a pitstop for coffee, incredible homemade cakes and delicious & inventive lunches – it is easily reached by walking along the canal path. Alternatively the nearby offers a fantastic bistro and country club style setting for cocktails, afternoon tea, business meetings or something a little more spoiling.

Interestingly having looked through my records, it seems that I’ve bought and sold more houses in Kintbury for my clients, over the years than any other village, so i really does know this spot like the back of my hand.

A huge thank you to for a wonderful afternoon on Thursday, celebrating their 40th birthday.

Throughout my career in the country I have worked alongside Mike, his son James and their team, making use of their expertise and professional relationships to ensure my clients get the best advice available to enable them to achieve what they need from their next home.

My business is all about relationships and this picture illustrates the excellent partnerships Fowlers have built over their extensive career - estate agents, developers, planning officers and even some of my own colleagues (and competitors!) all enjoying a lovely afternoon together, sharing memories and stories in a relaxed setting.
