It was an absolute pleasure to hand Rob Emery from Adventure Therapy a cheque for just shy of £1,500, raised through our 24-hour table tennis challenge! 🏓❤️
This fantastic amount will go towards supporting the mental and physical wellbeing of local young, disadvantaged and disabled children, making every sleepless hour, sore muscle and table tennis rally absolutely worthwhile!
A huge thank you to Matt R, Paul and Sam, who took on the incredible challenge of playing for the full 24 hours. And to all our club members who dropped in throughout the night, the wee hours, early morning and throughout the following day to keep the games and the spirits going. You were all brilliant!
We also owe a massive thank you to Wayne, who supplied and cooked breakfast for us on Saturday morning, and to Phill, Kev and Matt B for keeping us fueled with cakes and goodies. And a special mention to Sammy, Matt's wife, for baking what I can honestly say were the most incredible sausage rolls I have ever tasted! 😋
Sorry if I've missed anyone along the way, there were so many people who helped make the event such a success. Please know how much your support was appreciated!
A huge thank you also goes to all the lovely locals and holiday makers who dropped in for a knock, a chat or simply to show their support. It was fantastic to welcome people from near and far including London, Germany and France! 🌍
It was especially lovely to see Rob Emery himself getting involved and having a go with a bat in hand. 🏓
But most importantly, thank you to every single person who donated to this incredibly worthy cause. Your generosity has helped us raise an amazing amount for children and young people in our local community.
£1,500 raised. 24 hours played. Countless rallies, laughs and sore legs! 😂
From all of us at the club — THANK YOU! ❤️🏓
