Never in doubt....honestly!

A little bit of sanding to smooth out a few imperfections but im very pleased with how this went and it has instantly transformed the space inside the gunhouse. A big step forward

Wont lie, im a bit nervous about this job today. I've never laid a new concrete floor before but like everything ill jump in with two feet and learn on the job.

Damp proof coat done yesterday, primer coat next then screed this afternoon

So for our very first Throwback Thursday feature it seems only fitting to go back to the start... before we had done a single days work.

All there was here was a bare field and a single lonely Coronation Oak, planted in 1887 for Queen Victorias jubilee. Oh and my crazy vision!

For each picture I post on this feature ill try and take one today from the exact same position to show the change.

Time to start attempting to seal the internal concrete.

The problem is there isnt a product for sale anywhere in the world thats designed to work on the concrete and building im working on so its cross your fingers time....

A fresh week and a fresh start. Double changeover day today so im busy at work with getting the lodges refreshed ready for our next guests.

Thank you for all the words of encouragement and messages I received following on from my last post. It means more than you all probably realise and makes me remember and realise how far weve come and the challenges that we've already overcome.

Not been a great week this week to be honest :(

Everywhere I've turned I seem to have had problems and bad news thrown at me and its resulted in a less productive week than I'd have liked.

Im trying not too be hard on myself as I can easily get overwhelmed and daunted with the work that still lies ahead but that doesn't come naturally to me.

Anyway its the weekend now and we can start afresh next week. Enjoy your weekend!
