It formed part of a large investment for Crofts, which also sees the Cleethorpes’ branch doubling in size, with the acquisition of the neighbouring former EA Broadburn chemist in St Peter’s Avenue and an expansion into Louth to create a third physical branch, all three branches feature touch-screen technology accessible from the footpath, making it possible to book appointments 24/7 and e-mail property details home outside of branch opening hours. Explaing the reasons behind the new branch locations, Gary Croft said: “I think with the renaissance with Kennedy Way we wanted to be part of it, and we thought Immingham as a town was under-served by estate agents and Louth was a natural geographical extension to further cover customers who enjoy using our services.
“This is the first time a mainstream, bigger, agent has come into the town in Immingham, I think there is space for it, and there is a good catchment. Whilst Louth offers stiffer competition but we feel a fresh approach from Crofts is what’s needed.
“There is also the rental factor to consider in Immingham and Louth, for a lot of people looking to come in to the area for work.
“We did our research, we looked into what had sold in the postcodes over the past five years, and I thought we could really get some market share and provide a good service to the town.”
