Connectivity is not a luxury for the Highlands and Islands – it is essential to our economy, communities and public services.

The proposed reduction in flights between Inverness, Orkney and Shetland would have far-reaching consequences for businesses, tourism, healthcare access and island communities. At a time when governments have repeatedly recognised the importance of improving connectivity across our region, these cuts risk taking us in the wrong direction.

As the voice of business in the Highlands, we are supporting The Inverness Courier's Save Our Flights campaign and continuing to call for transport links that reflect the realities of living and working across the Highlands and Islands.
