Decking…anyone?
New project started this week. A decked, roofed gazebo leading onto a home gym. Roof line continues all the way through, hence the false rafter screwed to existing shed for calculations. This design, will give the customer a sheltered area to relax, a clean roofline, and means to recycle 50m2 of roof rainwater into a water collection and irrigation system for the garden.
Deck framing: bitumen painted posts, concreted in position on 1100mm grid. W**d control barrier is under the sand. Treated joists, with the tops bitumen painted but leaving the sides to allow moisture release.
Next move, build some pre-clad panels for the back of the gym against the wall. Then the rest of the gym. And then the roof.
Simple as that!
