UPDATE : Bertie has been found safely in Bembridge. Thank you to everyone who helped with sightings, car parking, access to property and helping to keep him safe.
Bertie’s update: We were in place last night as planned to observe and record Bertie’s movements, we do this to let him settle in an area he feels safe, he will choose where that is, recording this information and not disturbing him will enable us to plan forward for securing him, setting up cameras, feeding station and possibly trapping if necessary.
Bertie was seen last night at the same location, unfortunately with the heavy traffic, by the time the owner was able to get there he had already disappeared from sight. He was spotted again later in the same area by a member of the public, who was calling him and following him, to him, that is being chased and he will flee to a safer area. We need him to stay in this area.
The team will be out today and this evening, quietly observing and working behind the scenes with the owners. If you see him, please don’t call him or try to capture, obviously if he’s in your garden or an area you can secure him by closing gates etc, please do, then report to one of these numbers: Simon 07971346102 or Jane 07855018337
Drone SAR For Lost Dogs IOW are also assisting, so there is lots going on to get this little boy home safely, but we need your help, by reporting when you see him with the time, location and direction he was travelling. Thanks again for the assistance and parking from The Yarbridge Inn and thank you for all your help and support - TrackAdog Team
