Magical or miserable? (Play with sound ON)

This week I did a 17mile walk in the valley around Derwentwater. It was wet, wet, wet!

A welcome break at the Langstrath Country Inn where there was an open fire (The Lake District in June!!) and a super cute shortbread biscuit with my pot of tea!

The highlight of the August Bank Holiday weekend in Keswick is the traditional Keswick Agricultural Show, held annually on Bank Holiday Monday.

A week of balance and TLC!

Just back from my week at the cottage - amazing weather! This gave me the opportunity for some TLC - for myself, walking in the hills and 8 new wainwrights completed - and TLC on the cottage!

- the gate was in need of a ‘glow up’ and the good weather gave me the opportunity to sand, prime and paint. I’m quite pleased with myself! 😊
- the banisters were also looking a bit tired so sand, prime and paint!
- walls inside had a touch up too!

…never thought I would create a video of gates and bannisters but I have….…🫣

…. it’s all looking sparkly ready for a busy summer of guests!!

It’s great to be back!!

It’s been a few months since I’ve stayed at the cottage personally and I kicked off my stay yesterday with a beautiful walk above Ullswater - no crowds, no rain, just beautiful views in the spring sunshine! 😊

This week I have been packing up some boxes at home! I came across my ‘Our Baby’ book.

As the youngest of three it was very sparsely populated (the book for my older sister is complete!)…however there was one item filled in…my first holiday…Grasmere in The Lake District! 😊
