TinyHouse Keswick is perfectly placed to offer guests an unexpectedly tranquil setting to relax and unwind in nature whilst whilst being just 5 minutes walk from the hustle and bustle of town.
Situated at entrance to the lane leading to our own home TinyHouse Keswick is surrounded by over two acres of garden, woodland and the River Greta. It has a covered deck with table and chairs, a little private outdoor seating area, parking for one car and full access to our shared garden, woodland and river bank. There is a fire pit, river ‘dunking’ spot and various spots for sun or shade chasing.
TinyHouse Keswick has a proper kitchen, large walk in shower, compost toilet - (sit down wees for the boys), eco toiletries & washing-up liquid etc, wifi, a loft bedroom with a comfy super-king mattress; the perfect hideaway whilst leaving a tiny eco footprint.
We are happy to welcome one well behaved dog.
The environmental ethos behind the building of the Tiny House is felt throughout the building; from the larch clad exterior, hand sawn by the owner, pale and clean interior, recycled copper tubing used for all the plumbing fittings to the compost loo and toiletries which we ask you to use; everything in the The Tiny House Keswick offers guests the opportunity to tread lightly on the planet while enjoying a thoughtfully designed building.
Enter up four hand sawn larch step onto the deck made from recycled scaffold boards, through the ‘stable’ door into the main living space with the cleverly designed bi-fold bathroom door on the left. Stepping into the galley kitchen you’ll find a full size gas stove, under-counter fridge, sink, microwave, quirky up-cycled storage areas. A sofa and table with two chairs make up the double height living space with feature lighting and long window overlooking the woodland.
Take the ladder from this area up to the sleeping platform with a king-sized double bed with Egyptian cotton linen and plenty of storage space. The sleeping platform is for adults only.
Bring your ethics on holiday and know that we do our best to be as eco aware as possible from our original build down to cleaning products and the tea we offer.
