Herdwick Croft Holiday Park

Herdwick Croft Holiday Park We are nestled on the north shores of Bassenthwaite Lake, with breathtaking views of Skiddaw
(1)

Based in the English Lake District, very close to the beautiful Bassenthwaite Lake, Herdwick Croft offers a stunning lodge, caravan and touring park with views over the North Lakeland fells. The caravan park is only 8 miles from the market town of Keswick on Derwentwater, and 5 miles from Cockermouth, the birthplace of Wordsworth and Fletcher Christian (author of Mutiny on the Bounty). The picturesque Lakeland village of Bassenthwaite is only 2 miles away. Bassenthwaite Lake is ideal for those interested in watersports, Bassenthwaite Sailing Club is only one mile away where you can hire or launch a sailing dinghy, and the lake is excellent for windsurfing and canoeing or just relax on the lake shore enjoying the sun or a picnic. The wild life park is within walking distance just set behind the park .

We have some exciting news.

We’ve joined the Lovat Parks family and we couldn't be more pleased about it!

If you've stayed with us before, thank you. If you're new here, welcome. We're a peaceful little corner of the Northern Lake District, set between Bassenthwaite Lake and the fells and there's a lot to love about this part of the world.
