Did you know that as well as architectural design, we also carry out Party Wall Surveying for clients and developers. We are currently working on a project in SE20 with five adjoining owners, two of which were simple Section 6 3 metre notices, and three where an unsafe Party Fence Wall needs to be taken down and rebuilt. We should be bringing this to a Party Wall Award fairly soon.

Last week we tendered a successful quote for a survey of eight flats in Camberley, Surrey for a care provider. This week we will be visiting the site, carrying out a measured survey of all eight flats, to include electrical and plumbing survey. We will then prepare accurate floor plans, showing positions of all walls, doors and windows, together with positions of all electrical sockets, light fittings and switches, and size and position of all radiators and sanitaryware, as well as internal drainage runs.
Our client will then decide what alterations they want to make to the layout and services so that we can then prepare proposed plans for submission tot he council planning department for a Change of Use.

New Year - new web-site. You may have noticed that link to our web-site wasn't working? No, neither did we until we were told a while back. After much digging we found the website was no longer being hosted and the domain was no longer registered. Neither company would take a new client so we couldn't get it back up and running. We are now in the process of changing hosts and registrars and building a whole new website.
We should have this published in the next couple of days.

Well thats been an interesting few days! We have picked up orders for Building Regulations drawings for 4 houses in Anerley, South London, and for 8 houses in Croydon, both for the same developer. One will be a traditional brick and block cavity wall, and the other will be ICF with a brick outer skin. And we have quoted for B Regs drawings for a house and extension in Hayes, M'sex.

We have just obtained planning permission for a two storey side extension to a house near Bicester. Not an easy one, planners required amendments and then requested four extensions of time to make a decision, but we got the right result for our client in the end. A new garage, utility and two bedrooms will make a big difference to a fairly compact property.
