⭐ 8 years later… and we’re back!

We recently returned to a customer in Romsley to complete another flat roof replacement, around 8 years after we replaced two other roofs for her.

For us, repeat business says everything. When a customer comes back years later and trusts Diamond Flat Roofing with another project, we know we’ve done something right. 🙌

🏫 Another summer project completed and ready for the new school term!

During the summer holidays, the Diamond Flat Roofing team completed this 150m² flat roof overlay to a temporary classroom.

The existing roof was suitable for an overlay, which meant we could install a new Smart Roofer SR2.0 system without the need for a full strip and replacement.

It’s a great way to extend the life of an existing flat roof, while keeping disruption and unnecessary work to a minimum — especially important on a busy school site.

Another one ticked off in Bromsgrove! 🔨🏠

We’re making great progress on this development, with another full warm roof system now completed using Smart Roofer Flat Roofing Systems.

That takes us to:

✅ 3 main roofs completed
✅ 3 bay roofs completed
⏳ Another 6 still to go!

It’s great seeing a project of this size come together, one roof at a time.

A warm roof system doesn’t just provide a new waterproof finish. The insulation forms part of the roof build-up, helping to improve the thermal performance of the property and creating a complete system designed to perform for years to come.

What happens when a cold roof isn’t installed properly? 👀

Unfortunately, once we stripped this one back, the extent of the problem became clear — water ingress, sodden materials and timber that had deteriorated and broken away.

This wasn’t a job for another patch repair.

The roof needed to be fully stripped back so we could put things right from the ground up.

🔨 Full replacement of the existing cold roof
💨 Correct cross ventilation installed
🏠 Soffit vents installed around the entire perimeter
✅ Finished with a Restec Flexitec 2020 roofing system

A good flat roof isn’t just about what you can see on the surface. The preparation, construction and ventilation underneath are just as important.

When there’s a basement directly underneath a balcony, getting the waterproofing right is absolutely essential. 💧🏠

For this project, we used Restec Flexitec 2020 PMMA to create a tough, seamless and fully reinforced waterproof finish.

The existing block and beam floor construction allowed us to terminate the system over the soakaway, creating an effective waterproofing detail designed to protect the space below.

It’s a great example of why choosing the right roofing system for the individual project matters — particularly when water ingress could affect the living space beneath.

A modern upgrade that completely transforms the front of a property. 👷‍♂️🏡

On this project, we carried out a number of improvements to give the home a cleaner, more contemporary appearance.

Our work included:
✔️ Removing the existing bay window and fitting a new unit
✔️ Removing the old garage canopy
✔️ Installing a new raised edge trim
✔️ Fitting new soffits, fascias and guttering

The final stage of the project—completing the leadwork—will be carried out very soon, bringing everything together for a smart, long-lasting finish.

It's always rewarding to see how a combination of roofing and roofline improvements can completely refresh the look of a property.

Another phase completed. 👷‍♂️

Our team has finished the GRP fibreglass roof to the glass-only section of this project in Harborne, using the Smart roofing system to deliver a seamless, durable and weatherproof finish.

This is the first stage of the project, and we'll be returning in a few weeks to install the new roof to the rear of the property and complete the next phase of works.

We look forward to sharing the finished result.

Another roof completed on our Birmingham Road development in Bromsgrove. 👷‍♂️🏠

This latest build has now been completed with a full warm roof system, installed using the Smart GRP roofing system to provide a durable, long-lasting and weatherproof finish.

A warm roof not only offers excellent waterproof protection but also improves the thermal performance of the property, helping to create a more energy-efficient building.
