One of this week’s wonderful visitors … chomping on our flowers?! 🌷

Our guests love to see their horses straight from the bedroom windows, but every so often some sneaky extras enjoy the beautiful outside spaces of Pardlestone Farm.

The guests this week spotted this cheeky young roe deer who has become very bold and feels quite entitled to help himself to flowers in our border! 🦌

Once upon a time, this was where the ponies slept 🐴

Today, it’s a beautiful countryside retreat tucked away at Pardlestone Farm, where original character meets thoughtful comfort and every detail has been considered.

Fresh flowers on the table. A morning coffee in the courtyard. A long soak in the bath after a day exploring the Quantocks. Watching your horse grazing peacefully from the front door.

The Pony Barn was once part of the old Quantock Riding Centre, and what is now the bedroom was originally the foaling box. Lovingly renovated, the space still carries the charm of its former life while offering everything you need for a cosy self-catering escape.

Some places give you somewhere to stay.

Others give you a feeling you’ll want to come back to.

Welcome to The Pony Barn. 🤍

It might be a little drizzly in Somerset today, but there’s something rather lovely about seeing Pardlestone Farm in the rain.

The fields are a vibrant green, the gardens are bursting with colour, and every flower seems to be putting on its best display. Between the showers we’ve had little snippets of sunshine, lighting up the hills and reminding us why we love this corner of the Quantocks so much.

Some days aren’t about rushing around ticking off adventures. Some days are for slowing down, putting the kettle on, watching the weather roll across the countryside and appreciating the view.

And honestly? We think that’s pretty special too. 🌿🌸

What a privilege to look out windows likes these 🪟 🌼

To wake up somewhere that feels a little slower.
A little quieter.
A little softer around the edges.

Where the first thing you see are rolling hills, open skies and the kind of countryside that makes you breathe a little deeper.

This is your reminder that rest doesn’t have to be complicated.

Sometimes it’s just a beautiful view, a comfortable place to stay, and nowhere you need to be.

Welcome to Pardlestone Farm 🤍

CAN YOU CAST YOUR VOTE!?

A rare request from us but we wondered if our followers would consider voting for the Hawkstone Farmers Choir during this Saturday night’s (30 May) Britain’s Got Talent live finals!

Our lovely friends, Ali and Flo Dawes are taking part, and they and their fellow choir members will be singing their hearts out in an effort to win! If they do, a large proportion of their prize money will go to rural mental health charities. I know many of our guests at Pardlestone Farm work on the land, whether with horses or livestock, and many will have first-hand experience of the grind, the loneliness and the sheer graft of farming. Yes, we know there are wealthy farmers but many more – as well as farm workers – are struggling to deal with the exhausting challenges farming can throw at them. Sadly, there’s a reason why UK agriculture sees three people take their own lives every week.

In these uncertain times, we hope you’d like to support the people who put food on our plates, and a vote for the Hawkstone Choir on Saturday night (MUST BE DURING THE LIVE EVENT) is one way of doing so!

If you haven’t heard them, they’re here: https://www.facebook.com/reel/1252063620090298

Thank you all for your understanding of our plug! Here are the details you may like to have:

SATURDAY NIGHT. 7PM. ITV.
HOW TO VOTE:
1. Go to ITV.com/vote
2. Pre-register now: enter your phone number
3. Verify it + create your 4-digit passcode
4. When voting opens during the show, you’ll get 5 FREE votes
5. Use all 5 votes for Hawkstone Farmers Choir
Voting only stays open briefly during the live show — be ready.
Back British farming.
Stand with rural communities.
