Hi all,

This year is the big 4 0. So as the big day is coming up I have been asked what I would like for my birthday.

What I decided to do was challenge myself and swim 3k at the Swim Serpentine. I will be donating £5 from every EPC I carry out from the 16th June (my birthday) until the 20th September.

If you know anyone who needs an EPC please do share the post so we can raise as much money as we can.

New Year, new skills!!!
I have been a DEA for over four years and I love it. I am now training to be a Retrofit Assessor also so I can continue to help my clients on their energy efficiency journey.
Of course I am doing my training with Elmhurst Energy, who else.

I have been out today carrying out my last EPCs of 2024. I would like to thank everyone who I have been working with in 2024.

Here is to a week off with my family and back to normal on the 2nd January 2025.

This morning my daughter and I went up to watch Kev Sinfield start his 6th marathon out of 7. Totally inspiring man, honoring his friends and saving lives.

Not only was it lovely to catch up with that I used to work with when I was a teenager. But it was also lovely to end the week on an A rated house. There are not many of them at the moment.

If you would like advice on how you can get an A rated house then happy to offer any advice.

During May, EPC Northampton will be giving £5 or 10% of the survey cost (whichever is greatest) to raise money for Mila and her family.

We have watched our amazing friends spend most of the first year of their beautiful daughter life in Great Ormond Street. A position no parent would want to be. It is an incredibly difficult journey for them and we would like to help in any small way we can.

Yesterday I went to a networking event for women.

It was not organized first thing in the morning so I can't do the school run. It was in the middle of the day. An event which included a walk in the park and a coffee. Perfect.

It came at the perfect time to get me thinking about IWD. When we shared our stories they were all so similar. After having our children we had changed our career path or set up our own business. We weren't happy with the corporate world telling us when we had to work, that we had to miss out on important moments in our children's lives as we had to be working.

Dont get me wrong we all work so hard but we work for the benefit of our families and work when it is best for us all.

I'm so pleased that my job allows me to be there to drop off and pick up my children from school. To watch them enjoy their hobbies and to spend time with them during the holidays.

Here is to more flexibility in working so we achieve a better work life balance.
