🚨 LANDLORDS – ANOTHER CHANGE IS COMING 🚨
The Government has now released more information about the new private landlord and property registration service being introduced under the Renters’ Rights Act.
For landlords in Yorkshire & Humber, registration is due to start from 15 April 2027, with a deadline of 14 July 2027.
💷 The cost? £65 PER PROPERTY, PER YEAR.
So if you own:
🏠 1 property = £65 a year
🏠 5 properties = £325 a year
🏠 10 properties = £650 a year
Landlords will need to register themselves AND their rental properties, providing information about ownership, tenancy details, rent, licensing and compliance including things such as:
✅ Gas Safety
✅ EICR
✅ EPC
✅ HMO / Selective Licensing
✅ Occupancy details
✅ Rent information
And yes… it will need renewing every year.
Eventually, properties will also need to be registered before they can even be advertised to let.
