Here's the plan for pub sessions over the next few days.

Sessions are informal, social gatherings with a life of their own. Artists lead them but won’t play their own material, so don’t expect these to be performances.

We encourage you to join in and create collaborations while exchanging traditions.

When tunes are in full flow it’s not uncommon for a midday session to end at closing time! That being said, please cooperate with bar and hotel staff as they try to keep everyone fed and watered.

For our youngest festival goers we really do have an amazing Saturday planned for you!

Kirkwall Grammar School are going to be playing host to a fantastic array of charities and organisations all with the goal of inspiring the next generation of nature lovers. Stalls will include BDMLR Orkney - Public, Project Seagrass, University of Strathclyde as well as RSPB Orkney and the Orkney Native Wildlife Project to mention but a few. But what we are sure will be the highlight of the day is Whale and Dolphin Conservation will be bringing Hope the Humpback whale! This life-sized inflatable whale will give you a chance to get up close and personal with one of our waters largest visitors...
