A few from this week before it all starts again tomorrow!

Fitting a new bath, taps and flooring - my customer had an old curved bath, and if you know, you know that these baths are a nightmare to try and get replacement panels for.

Replacing it creates secondary issues though - the flooring didn't run under the old bath as it often doesn't, and so that meant new LVT had to go down to get a good finish, as well as needing to find a solution for the bare wall and large hole, that was previously under the old bath and hidden away - as obtaining matching tiles was out of the question, a PVC insert was the best and most cost effective solution.

Wrapped up the week with smaller things;

- New outdoor socket and tap
- loft bed built up

Running of space for those big and bulky items? 📦

Yeah, I know the feeling - as summer draws to a close ( 😭) I need to find space for things that aren't needed through the winter, in this case my kayak and roof box.

So, a couple of bicycle wall mounts are more than sufficient for the kayak, and for my roof box, a stainless steel curtain pole and X4 stainless brackets are more than sufficient, and both are now wall mounted out of the way and not taking up valuable floor space in the garage!

If you're sat pondering what the solution to an interesting problem could be, drop me a line - this sort of thing is where it all started! 😁

One from this week so far: rebuilding part of this lean-to garage from circa 1960.

As an old wooden structure, it was inevitably beginning to show it's age - the door was falling apart, much of the wood was showing signs of rot, and the perspex roof was totally clouded, so time for a refresh.

The whole thing came down with relative ease, as did removal of the large glass window, and then it's a case of working in reverse to reinstate it.

The window, being very large and very thin unfortunately didn't survive, and so was replaced with acrylic glass.

Full new framework built from treated timbers, and a new door, frame and hardware kit.

A new corrugated PVC roof completes the job to let the light in, along with pvc cladding to ensure it lasts as long as the last one!

A couple of this weeks jobs;

- Loo wall panelling
- Retrofitting a dishwasher

Most are aware that a dishwasher (or indeed nearly any other domestic appliance can and will fit into a standard kitchen carcass unit, and that exactly what I've done here.

If you're happy to forego a cupboard they can be made to work - complete with new plumbing and electric points.
