BRR It's that time of year again...

We have listed the simple checks you can do safely as a tenant to get your gas boiler back up and running.

- Check the boiler is plugged in and turned on.
- Check the gas supply to the property is "ON" and your top up meter hasn't run out of credit (if applicable).
- Check the water supply is on.
- Check the thermostat is set to the desired heat.
- Check the pressure is between 1-2, if not please top it up using the black pressure valve.
- Reset the boiler.
- If your boiler is a condensate boiler – look for an outdoor pipe connected to your boiler. This is usually a white pipe to the bottom of the boiler that takes away condensation and is connected to an outside drain.
- If this is frozen – inside or outside
- Pour warm water on the pipe, not boiling, but warm. Please cover with a towel so the pipe doesn’t crack.
- Thaw and reset boiler.
