We’re thrilled to have been shortlisted at the Insider Yorkshire Property Awards 2025!

We are nominated in the Property Deal of the Year category for our £152m forward funding deal with Barings Real Estate at Kirkstall Road, Leeds.

The deal paved the way for the residential led redevelopment of a vacant brownfield site that will create 618 new homes across five buildings set within an extensive landscaped public realm, including a new riverside park, next to the River Aire.

Sunny Johal joined a stellar panel of other property leaders this week at the BISNOW Manchester Real Estate Outlook event.

Taking place on Thursday morning, the event addressed a number of topic’s facing the city’s property market with speakers that included Katie Saunders of Trowers & Hamlin’s, Dan Hyde of MEPC and Laura Kurt of Fusion Group.

Key takeaways from the event included:

- The city’s rich culture, history and 24-hour economy continues to make it a prime investment opportunity for occupiers, students and institutional capital.

- The city’s demographic and forecasted population growth sets it up well to maintain strong structural tailwinds for all living sectors.

- Affordability of occupants to rent sustainably will continue to be a critical consideration in being able to unlock development within inner city and outer city areas.

Sunny commented on during the session, ‘At Glenbrook we are expanding our presence into a number of core cities, however it is clear on comparison that Manchester is underpinned by a degree of confidence, pride and momentum which helps allure the right type of investment to the city’
