Marking 5 years of 100% renewable energy consumption across our sites; preventing over 35tonnes of CO(2), or 175000 miles of car journey's from being taken by using providers committed to Net Zero. We have an active program of energy saving initiatives, pushing our Energy Performance Certificates (EPC) upwards and saving our tenants money with lower energy bills & reducing the impact on the environment.

Still lots to go at, setting ourselves ambitious targets for 2025 with a further roll out of our EV chargers, cycle storage areas, EPC upgrades & reviewing our business to minimise energy usage & increase recycling.

In a bid to reduce vehicle emissions at Cardigan Trading Estate, we have now installed 2 Dual 7kWh Pod Point chargers which are powered by renewable electricity.

These chargers are open to all - tenants and the public alike. You will need to download and register to the Pod Point app (available on Android & Iphone). Pod Point is an OLEV-approved installer.

They can be used for a simple top up as you work, or to power up your entire battery. If you would like to find out more about PodPoint, then please visit their website.

We currently offer discounted rates on electricity for our tenants. If you are interested in our office space positioned on the 1st floor at Cardigan Trading Estate then please get in contact at: [email protected]

We used 100% renewable electricity across all our sites in the year 2019-2020 preventing 7tonnes of Co(2) going into the atmosphere, which is the same as 35000 mile car journey's or 8 flights from Leeds to New York. We are committed to reducing our carbon footprint and are reviewing how we can reduce our energy consumption further thru LED technology & better insulation. We will be installing EV charging points this Autumn for our Kirkstall tenants.😀

We've had a mention in the Yorkshire Post. Currently working on converting a historic mill in Bradford's Cathedral Precinct on Canal Road. Currently in the planning process & hopefully able to start works in Autumn in 2021.

A historic building in Bradford which has been left to go derelict and currently has trees growing out of the front of it could be saved.

Work begins at Kirkstall Milford Place on the flood defences this week. After Storm Eva at Christmas 2015 the Government's Environment Agency & Leeds City Council allocated £75Million to build flood defences from the City Centre along the River Aire to Kirkstall Bridge. Work has been on-going for a year now and finally it has reached us at Cardigan Trading Estate. The footbridge at Milford Place has been raised and now the flood walls are being installed and looking for completion by August 2021. Flexibility & being responsive is key to successful lettings. Enquiries from 2 tenants each looking for 700sq.ft, but apart from a 1400sq.ft unit we are fully let at Cardigan Workspace, Leeds, LS4 2BL

Not a problem - we just spilt the unit in two; separated out the electrics, fire-proofed the units, added additional EPC insulation, heating systems, redecoration and once legals were done handed the keys to the new tenants. All the work completed by Simon & Tom in record time, well done lads😄.
