Council documents indicate social housing could be built on the site.

Leicester City Council has set out plans to permanently close the New Parks Leisure Centre, saying it's poorly used and needs millions of pounds of repair work.

🌟Important message🌟

The power to 1-30 and 31-66 crayburn security doors will be turned back on Thursday the 24th September 2026 in the morning. This is due to anti social behaviour happening especially in the evenings.
The fobs will still be available to collect from the New Parks Centre 10am till 5pm Monday- Thursday until the 5th of October.
