Historic buildings can present significant challenges for developers, but a heritage site does not necessarily make it an unviable project.

Grey Friars in Leicester's Old Town is a good example. Working with two Grade II listed buildings and a non-designated heritage asset, DSA developed a scheme for 62 apartments and commercial space, with full planning permission granted.

The project demonstrates how understanding the existing building and its constraints from the outset can help create a viable route forward.
