A Leicester shop in 1955… and look at those prices! 🛍️
Bill White stands outside his shop in the Wharf Street area, where his family had lived for several generations.
The shop was open until 8pm, all week, and he reportedly earned just ÂŁ45 for his efforts.
From Cadbury’s and Typhoo Tea to Colman’s Mustard, this little shop window is a snapshot of everyday Leicester life in the 1950s.
