After 2 fall-throughs, third time lucky! ๐กโจ
Following one of the longest and most stressful transactions Iโve dealt with in over a decade in the industry โ from missing developer documents, constant delays, and mortgage expiry timescales โ Iโm beyond relieved that my brother and his girlfriend have finally completed on their forever home.
What makes this one even more emotional for us personally is that the home my brother sold through me was the house we both moved into after losing our mum 13 years ago. I parted ways to my own home in 2019 and my brothers partner moved into shortly after, together they turned the house into a home, together. Itโs held so many memories for our family, so closing that chapter was always going to be bittersweet.
And today honestly felt like a sign from her. We saw a rainbow over their old home, and then another rainbow at the new house ๐ฅน๐ I truly believe it was our mum sending angel signs that sheโs with us every step of the way.
Moments like this are such a reminder that buying and selling a home is so much more than just a transaction. Itโs personal, emotional, and without doubt one of the most stressful experiences both buyers and sellers will go through. Trying to align dates, mortgages, exchange and completion deadlines, and everything in between is no easy taskโฆ honestly, we all deserve a pat on the back sometimes ๐๐ผ
Completion at the bottom of the chain at 11am and completion at the top at 3pm meant hours of waiting around for that final call โ โweโve completed, please release the keys.โ As stressful as it is, itโs also one of the most rewarding, emotional and exciting moments to be part of.
Huge congratulations to the buyer, and of course my brother and his girlfriend ๐ฅณ
Now let the renovations begin! ๐ทโโ๏ธ๐ก
