All five of our lollipop olive trees had a good trim last night while it was cool. They’re nearly 25 years old now — hand-shaped over decades into these beautiful, sculptural forms. There’s something incredibly calming about working in the garden as the light fades, especially with trees that have so much character and history. Their trunks and neat evergreen crowns always remind me how time and care shape everything worthwhile.
