The guys are getting on apace with the demolition work! That's both rooms downstairs gutted and floors removed, now the hard-core going in ready for screed, dpm, insulation, underfloor heating and finally concrete! ð The two internal walls I had hoped to strip to the stonework and leave exposed however they were built in sections of timber with small stones infilled with cement. No foundations to them and not structurally that solid as the timbers are partially rotten, so to make the concrete pour easier and to make the structural integrity of the walls safer they have had to come out ð the stairs are getting dismantled and stored safely so they can be rebuilt once the floor is done. They needed rebuilding anyway as the bottom section had partially subsided ðĪ long way ti go but the demolition is getting there ðð
