Funny to see where life can take you.

From that first photo, through plenty of moments over the years where I’d sit with my mum questioning myself and trying to work out where I was going, to where we are now.

And now I’ve made the final shortlist for Best Personal Brand at the Personal Estate Agency Awards, from over 350 nominations nationwide.

My first couple of years in self-employed estate agency definitely weren’t the easiest. I got a lot wrong and quickly realised I was learning far more from the things that weren’t working than the things that were.

One of the biggest changes was actually pretty simple. I started showing more of myself.

And that’s when things really started to click.

I’ve spoken quite openly about some of the things I’ve been through, and for a long time I think that trauma probably made me hold parts of myself back.

So to now be recognised for an award that is essentially about building a business around being myself, showing my personality and letting more of me come through feels pretty full circle.

Safe to say there are some incredible agents on that shortlist, so to have made it this far, I’m pretty chuffed.

Keep failing. Keep learning. Keep going.

Sometimes the difficult bits end up taking you somewhere pretty special.
