Is there anything more annoying than a self-catering accommodation with one decent knife, three spoons, a mismatched collection of crockery and a hunt through every cupboard for the equipment you actually need to cook a meal?

We want your stay to be easy and enjoyable, and that’s why the kitchen at Frankaborough Lodge is properly equipped.
We’ve made sure there are the appliances, utensils, cookware and serving dishes you’d expect to find at home, and a few extras you might not… a w**e fridge and coffee maker, for starters. 🍷☕

Whether you’re making breakfast before a day exploring Devon, cooking dinner to enjoy together at the lodge, or making the most of the BBQ, you’ll have what you need.

Just a short drive from Frankaborough Lodge, the beautiful countryside around Castle Drogo is packed with dramatic river valleys, woodland walks and hidden waterfalls that feel a world away from everyday life. If you’re feeling brave, you can even take a dip! 💦

One of the best things about staying at Frankaborough Lodge? You’re spoilt for choice when it comes to beaches.

🌊 Prefer rugged coastline? Explore the dramatic cliffs and rock pools at Crackington Haven or Black Rock Beach, where every corner feels like a postcard.

🏖️ Love soft sand? Head to Summerleaze, Crooklets or Widemouth Bay for family-friendly beach days, sandcastles and paddling.

🐬 Keep your eyes on the sea! While never guaranteed, seals are regularly spotted along the North Cornwall coast, and if you’re lucky, you may even catch a glimpse of dolphins or the occasional basking shark. It’s always worth pausing to take in the view.
