Removing this carpet under negative air pressure to protect the client from dust and airborne particles. The property owner suffers from allergies and CIRS, so it’s important that no contaminants become airborne during the removal.
Negative air machines create a controlled environment, pulling air out of the room through HEPA filtration so nothing spreads to other areas.
It’s a slower process but essential for anyone sensitive to mould, dust, or chemical exposure.

Mould removal under full containment, negative air pressure followed by small particle clean up

29/09/2025

Are you mould sensitive? Require remediation under strict containment and removal protocols? Then why are you considering a company that only dry fog and charge £1200-£1400 with worthless guarantees.

These snake oil treatments do nothing to improve your health and well-being anyone that’s CIRS MCAS we all know paracetic acid can’t work for them it’s that simple.

Fogging has a place in remediation and it’s to saturate the spores suspended in the air and get them onto surfaces that can be cleaned to pick up the fungal fragments.

I prefer to fog into plastic sheeting and then dispose of it after small particle cleaning (SPC) all horizontal non porous surfaces. It’s at the end of the job after the mouldy materials have been removed and
H class hepa vacuuming with air scrubbers have been used.

If you are sick or mould sensitive you really need to appreciate that mould can’t be cleaned for you - it needs removed so plasterboard, wallpaper all need removed under containment, negative air pressure by a competent and experienced pro. Damp proofers and carpet cleaners getting into mould work you need to avoid.

Please please do your due diligence there’s lots of nonsense out there, a few new start up companies operating. Healthy competition is fine but when they are just spraying mould with fungicides and fogging with paracetic acid I need to warn peopl of this approach- your health depends on it!

I may have a wait on to get to you, there’s a reason for that - I’m busy from recommendations via functional medical practitioners and mould support groups who have members I’ve helped out. There’s guys who can come around tomorrow who aren’t busy or can send their salesperson. Engage your brain, do that due diligence l.

I cover Glasgow plus 30 miles. Anything else is just too far for me. I don’t need to or
wish travel far and wide, having to rush jobs to get home for dinner isn’t how I operate.

Today we carrying out loft mould remediation using negative air pressure. This process stops mould spores from spreading into other areas of the home while the work is being done. It means the property stays safe and clean while we remove the contamination at its source.

If you have mould in your home, especially in hard to reach areas like lofts, it is important to get it treated properly so it does not keep coming back

It’s the start of condensation season.

This can be prevented by managing humidity and heating in your property

• Cross ventilation to remove unwanted moisture
• Dry clothes in a well ventilated room
• Wipe down condensation on windows
• Keep heating steady at around 18 degrees

Removing excess moisture not only helps prevent mould, it also makes your home easier and cheaper to heat, saving on energy bills.

Using a thermal imaging camera during a mould survey is crucial for identifying hidden issues that contribute to mould growth. Here’s why it’s important:
1. Detects Moisture: Thermal imaging cameras help pinpoint areas of excess moisture, even behind walls or under floors, which are primary contributors to mould growth.
2. Identifies Hidden Problems: They can reveal temperature anomalies that indicate issues such as leaks, condensation, or poor insulation—factors that often go unnoticed during a visual inspection.
3. Prevents Future Issues: By identifying these problems early, it’s possible to address the root causes of mould growth, ensuring a more thorough and lasting solution.
4. Non-Invasive: Thermal imaging allows for a detailed assessment without the need for invasive methods such as drilling or removing materials, saving time and reducing repair costs.
5. Enhanced Accuracy: It provides a more comprehensive view of the property’s condition, ensuring that no affected area is overlooked during the survey
