✏️🎨 Liverpool Urban Sketchers – Free Sketch & Paint Day!

Join Liverpool Urban Sketchers for their second free-to-attend sketching and painting meetup — and everyone is welcome!

Spend the day drawing this beautiful Grade I listed cast-iron church, nestled in the heart of St Michael’s Hamlet. The church will be open throughout the event, with a pop-up art café on site for drinks, cake, and creative chats.

🖌 All abilities welcome – beginners, first-timers, and new sketchers are especially encouraged.
🎟 Free to attend – just turn up with your sketchbook and materials.

The historic church in St Michael's is getting a new lease on life as restoration work officially commences, marked by the recent installation of scaffolding on the right side. This magnificent cast iron church has endured since the Iron Shore era and is one of Liverpool's two remaining iron churches. In 2026, we'll be organizing various fundraising events to support ongoing renovations and return the church to its original splendor.
