Occasionally on airbnb and vrbo we do get some daft comments ("London too noisy", 'Lightbulbs not bright enough" or "The local supermarket is only open short hours on a Sunday") but it's lovely to get a glowing review now and again!

Sadly a family who were due to holiday with us Monday - Friday next week are from West Yorks and are caught in the new lockdown restrictions and it means they're now unable to holiday with their extended family next week. Hello to all our fb page likers - we hope you and your families are all staying safe and well, and that you're not going too stir crazy at home...

Just an update note to update you all that as of yesterday, 13th July, we are taking bookings again. Availability for the summer is rapidly being booked up but as of 14th July we have the following dates still available:
-up to 20th July
-1st to the 4th August long weekend
-7-10th August weekend
-22nd August till 6th September

What's open, in addition tobthe beaches and beautiful outdoor spaces? The takeaways local to Curzon Road (in addition to in the main town centre) are open, pubs are opening and we're expecting the restaurants and cafes to open shortly. Zipworld is partially open again, The quarry karts open on Monday 20th (booking my spot this week!), the pier is open, as is Bodnant gardens as well as Llandudno ski slope (and the excellent toboggan run- our favourite!) And many more. I'm keeping in contact with the Llandudno tourist office and will put updates on here when further big changes happen...

What have we done during lockdown for guests? We have been providing guests with postponed dates and refunds for the spring dates that had to be cancelled, and we are offering 100% refunds above our usual cancellation policy in the event any holidays are cancelled due to Wales/Llandudno imposing temporary lockdowns. We can proudly say that we were able to offer and provide the house to keyworkers at knock-down prices and we have been fortunate enough to not have had to have sought any government bail-outs or loans during this period.

What safety measures are we taking? Our housekeeper is provided with additional antibacterial cleaning supplies and we have increased her changeover cleaning hours and pay to account for the additional cleaning of all touch-points. We have not passed on the extra cost to our guests- this is purely a cost of doing business in these unprecedented times.
