There still so much more we can add but this is the first edition ⚑️It is a work in progress as other business' want to be added and especially to include the welsh names! It has so much interest since posting! Really chuffed!!

Public footpaths around Llanddona, colour-coded based on quality.

Where are the best public footpaths on Anglesey?

The map shows the number of highly rated footpaths (4/5 or 5/5) per square km. The redder the square, the higher the number of footpaths.

And the winner is ... πŸ₯πŸ₯ ... Church Bay, where there are up to 8 footpaths per square km. Close second is the triangle of Amlwch, Pengorffwysfa, and Llaneilian, where the number goes up to 7. Other highlights are Moelfre, Benllech, Dwyran, Malltraeth, Llangristiolus, and Holy Mountain. The lowest density of highly rated footpaths is in the centre of the island; this includes Rhosybol and Llanerchymedd.

To end on a high, few people need to travel far to access a beautiful footpath!

That's it then. We have walked, described, and rated all public footpaths on . All 1400 of them. We started in 2014 with this idea to keep us fit, and the undertaking has grown to something that we never could have anticipated. We now have more than 4,000 followers (thank you all!), we now know stunning locations on the island that we would not have found in any other way, we met hundreds of beautiful people who gave us treasures of local information, and we probably encountered every type of domestic and wild animal to be found on this gem of an island (of course, sheep and cattle – don't mention bulls, please – outnumbered everything else). It is quite unbelievable that in the past 6 years (Covid-19 prevented us from walking in 2020) we managed to walk an average of 4 public footpaths per week. Is this the end? Hopefully not. Some of you know that we are planning to use the public footpaths to design circular walks in the most beautiful parts of the island. We should now also have more time to think about a search function that is better than Facebook can offer; a dear wish of many of you. Diolch yn fawr iawn for all your support over the years. Onwards and upwards ... keep walking πŸšΆβ€β™€οΈπŸšΆβ€β™‚οΈ
