Should I Invest In Property?

As both property investors & developers we know & understand the complexities of successful property investment.

We share this because it's what we often hear from investors we speak with. They have some knowledge, even a lot sometimes, but they are busy. Usually between their own businesses, careers and family commitments there just isn't time to fit in property investment too.

We are passionate that this shouldn't be a reason not to invest in property. Property is a valuable asset class that is loved & trusted to perform well in the UK, so you shouldn't be missing out on the benefits it can bring. Instead it is a sign that you need to find the right team to work with.

RegentsView = New Brand + New Website

Today we are sharing & celebrating our new website!

Although our team has each been working together & building their experience for the past 7-12 years, before we built this website we didn't formally exist online as a brand & business.

It was a huge learning curve creating our logo, defining our brand and building out our website & social channels. We are definitely at the beginning of this journey and look forward to sharing our future projects.

Very soon we will have our first HMO project under construction and will be sharing it! This project has been a few years in the making so we are very excited to be on site soon.

Vanessa, co-founder of RegentsView recently read a Hargreaves Lansdown neat & informative fact sheet on the pros & cons of investing in a pension vs. property.

Whilst useful, it appears to be aimed at the mass market retail investor and doesn’t address :

a) those who are higher rate earners with a diminishing personal pension allowance

b) those who are experienced property investors themselves or invest with experienced investors, so are better equipped to both add value and maximise rental returns on property investments

We have just passed the tax year end here in the UK, so higher rate earners have had their annual pension contribution debate... !! Pensions or Property?!

Our Favourite Project

So we have built a portfolio of 6 btls, 1 retail shop & done a flip over the past 6 years mostly with our own money, but none of those are HMOs because our 1st HMO purchase hasn't completed yet…

This is quite appropriate for April fools post because this project has taken 14 months AND counting to complete! Keep everything crossed for us we can get this over the line by the 30th 🤞🏻

So this is a pretty tricky choice and between networking, mostly at & on we've met some great HMO investors & developers

For us both Maygreen Investments & Roly Symonds have been especially helpful from giving us tips, contacts and advice. We are working in a different area to these investors, but there are always a lot of parallels and transferable advice for the same strategy, wherever you're investing & operating.

Without a doubt this advice has helped to boost our confidence in our investment model and confirm our assumptions. Thank you to you both!

Over the past 4 months, thanks partly to the UK's lockdowns we have focused on creating our brand, building our first website from scratch to set out who we are, what we do and most importantly why we do it!

In a brief window of freedom we even managed to do a professional photo shoot.

Meanwhile we are busy working to get our 1st HMO investment project over the line of completion - more to come about that later!
