Kayleigh who is a multi tasking hero was out early doors today, no time for the early morning reviving cuppa, so after she had finished three home removal estimates, one in Eastbourne one in East Dean and one in Seaford she stopped off for a well earned break here at La Maison - Seaford. After a delicious and healthy smoked salmon, scrambled egg, rocket bagel, and a quick flat white. Refreshed and energised once more Kayleigh was off again for her next appointment in Lewes, East Sussex.

Thank you to head chef Levente who realising Kayleigh was in a hurry, knocked out this superb dish in double quick time.

Bexhill-on-Sea, East Sussex joins the top of the latest list of UK property hotspots, with the number of homes for sale in Bexhill-on-Sea nearly doubling compared with last year according to the Times.

Average UK house price falls for first time in a year to sit at £293,221

The annual rate of growth eased to +11.8 per cent (from +12.5 per cent), with Wales showing the strongest annual growth in the country.

Russell Galley, Halifax managing director, said “While we shouldn’t read too much into any single month, especially as the fall is only fractional, a slowdown in annual house price growth has been expected for some time,” .

“The extremely short supply of homes for sale is also a significant long-term challenge but serves to underpin high property prices.”

Prices were expected to come under more pressure as “the headwinds of rising interest rates and increased living costs take a firmer hold,” with Galley forecasting a slowing of annual house price inflation as “the most likely scenario.”

The average UK house price in July reached £271,209

Annual house price growth in the UK accelerated to 11% in July, slightly up from the 10.7% seen in June, according to new figures. House prices increased by 0.1% month-on-month - the 12th consecutive monthly increase - according to Nationwide Building Society.

The Society said the housing market had been surprisingly buoyant so far, given the strains on households' budgets and consumer confidence plunging to a record low. He added: 'We expect the market to slow as pressure on household budgets intensifies in the coming quarters, with inflation set to reach double digits towards the end of the year.'
