I’ve got a buy-to-let in a borough where the council suddenly changed the rules, and even though I was only renting to four people, I suddenly needed an HMO licence. After being told by the council that we needed to bring our property up to HMO standards, I contacted HMO Letting Agent. The requirements included six fire doors, smoke detectors, a heat detector, and emergency lighting. I was expecting a drawn-out, complicated process, but they handled everything from start to finish with real professionalism. Their knowledge of the regulations gave me peace of mind, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to any landlord who needs to get their property up to standard quickly and correctly.
