ts’ Advice Service (ITRA) where we provide independent and impartial advice and support, to help residents understand and engage with changes in their neighbourhood. We also have a team of Resident Liaison Officers (RLOs) whose work focuses on new builds, refurbishment and remediation projects across England and Wales.

Since 2006, we have worked alongside communities, local authorities, developers, housing providers, and public sector partners to ensure that people are at the heart of regeneration. Through meaningful engagement and collaboration, we have helped communities shape the places where they live, work, and thrive.

As we mark this milestone, we would like to thank our clients, partners, stakeholders, and communities for their trust and support over the past two decades.

Mekor Newman, Director at NewmanFrancis, took part in a UKREiiF roundtable focused on social value in regeneration, community engagement and long term impact.

The discussion explored the importance of moving beyond compliance to ensure regeneration delivers real and lasting benefits for communities.

Key themes included embedding social value throughout the full lifecycle of development, from early engagement and planning through to delivery, long term stewardship and creating opportunities for local people.

It was also encouraging to hear about the Future Makers programme and its role in widening access to careers in the built environment for the next generation.

NewmanFrancis looks forward to continuing these conversations and supporting community centred approaches to change.

Next week we’ll be bringing the “Loving our Residents” session to life with our partners at 4i Solutions Limited — and we’re excited to get into the room with people who are just as passionate about meaningful resident engagement as we are 🌟

For us, great engagement isn’t a box-ticking exercise or a policy requirement. It’s about creating spaces where residents feel heard, respected, and able to influence the decisions that affect their homes and communities 🏘️

Our work is rooted in lived experience, practical insight, and collaboration. We support organisations to move beyond ‘doing engagement’ to truly embedding resident voice into culture, leadership, and everyday practice 🗣️

The session will:
