🚨 Thinking About Getting an AI Certification? Read This First! 🚨
As someone who serves on a university advisory board and has reviewed countless AI courses—both accredited and non-accredited—I can confidently say:
💡 Most AI certifications are a waste of time and money.
Here’s why:
❌ University AI courses are outdated. The material being taught is often over a year old—which is ancient in AI terms.
❌ The instructors usually aren’t AI experts. It’s often whoever has availability, not someone actively working at the forefront of AI.
❌ Many non-accredited certifications aren’t much better. While some are high-quality, most are just as outdated as university courses.
So, what’s the better alternative?
🔥 Get hands-on experience. AI evolves too quickly for any certificate to stay relevant. The best way to learn is by using AI tools, experimenting, and refining your skills.
🎯 Learn from real AI practitioners. Choose courses from those actively shaping AI, not just teaching theories. (Yes, that includes me. 😉)
📺 Use "YouTube University" (Seriously). There's a wealth of free, cutting-edge AI education online—often more relevant than classroom learning.
🚀 The future of AI belongs to those who **understand it, apply it, and adapt—**not those with a fancy certificate.
💬 What’s your take? Have you taken an AI certification course? Was it worth it? Let’s discuss! 👇
