"The housing market is to remain open in the four week lockdown in England.
The Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government confirmed the news on Saturday evening via Twitter, some hours after Prime Minister Boris Johnson announced the lockdown until December 2."

Whilst there are restrictions around inspections, the news means that current sales can still progress with viewings and mortgage valuations still being undertaken.

Understandably, many buyers and sellers may wish to wait until a relax in these restrictions although we are likely to see those who are actively looking to take advantage of the current stamp duty break, still in the market.
