🏡 Has buy-to-let become so unfashionable that we've stopped recognising value?

This has genuinely surprised me.

I'm currently marketing a 3-bedroom apartment in Wandsworth, South West London at £540,000.
Based on achievable rental levels in the building, it offers an approximate gross yield approaching 7%.

📈 A few years ago, a property offering that sort of return would almost certainly have attracted significant interest from investors.

Yes, higher interest rates, increased taxation and tighter legislation have undoubtedly made buy-to-let less attractive than it once was. But when viable investment opportunities struggle to attract buyers, is it any wonder we're seeing fewer landlords entering the market?

And if fewer landlords are buying...
➡️ Fewer rental properties become available.
➡️ Competition for homes increases.
➡️ Rents continue to rise.

Sometimes the best opportunities are the ones everyone else is overlooking.
