Tradition dictates that when a Royal Naval vessel moors on the Wharf, the Captain must present the Constable with a barrel of wine “the Dues” which is then is ceremoniously escorted to the Tower by the Yeoman Warders and presented to the Constable on Tower Green.

British scientist Sir John Herschel came up with the word photography it in 1839 using the Greek word phōtós (meaning “light”) and graphê (which means “drawing or writing”) hence the definition of photography is “drawing the light”
