🚛 SOME THINGS NEED MORE THAN A MOVING VAN.

🎹 Pianos are heavy, delicate and often need to pass through tight doorways or staircases. Specialist equipment and experienced movers make all the difference.

🏍️ Motorbikes need controlled loading, suitable protection and secure positioning during transport.

🖤 Specialist technology can be even more challenging. Recently, our team relocated a huge carbon-fibre holographic screen for Musion 3D, transporting it in a custom-built crate alongside other high-value production equipment.

Every unusual move brings its own challenges, from weight and dimensions to access, protection and transportation.

At Octagon Removals, we have the experience, equipment and people to work out the logistics and get the job done.

From individual high-value items to complex commercial equipment relocations, we’re ready for the unusual jobs too. 💪

Got something valuable, oversized or difficult to move?

👕 Ever opened a box of clothes after a move and found everything crushed into one creased heap?

That's what happens when a wardrobe gets squashed into bags and cartons. On this Croydon job, the clothes went a different way. Every item came straight off the hanger and into a tall wardrobe box with its own rail, then rode upright in the van.

At the new home, they went back into the wardrobe still on their hangers. Ready to wear, with no ironing pile waiting. 🚛

🖥️ HOW DO YOU MOVE A GIANT CARBON-FIBRE HOLOGRAPHIC SCREEN?

One of the biggest challenges during our recent relocation of Musion 3D from Uxbridge to Stratford was loading this enormous carbon-fibre screen structure.

Musion 3D creates spectacular holographic experiences for live events and entertainment worldwide. Their technology has achieved two Guinness World Records, including the world’s largest hologram, measuring an incredible 50 metres wide! 🏆

And we had the privilege of transporting some of the specialist equipment behind that technology.

📐 Huge dimensions and tricky manoeuvring
🖤 Delicate, high-value carbon-fibre construction
🚚 Careful loading, coordination and secure transportation

Moving equipment like this takes experience, teamwork and a solid plan.

📸 Take a look behind the scenes as our team loads this impressive piece of technology!

This specialized service was provided for our esteemed residential ...

🏟️ A derelict industrial stretch of East London turned into the site of a Games watched by billions, and it’s since become one of the fastest-growing places to actually live in the city.

That’s Stratford’s story in a nutshell. Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park sits on 560 acres that were cleaned up and rebuilt for London 2012, and the London Stadium at its centre has gone from hosting the Olympic opening ceremony to being West Ham’s home ground, now reaching 66,000 seats for football and up to 80,000 for concerts. Westfield Stratford City opened right alongside it, turning the area into one of East London’s biggest shopping and entertainment hubs practically overnight.

All that regeneration means Stratford now mixes traditional Victorian terraces with new-build high-rises around the park, which makes moving here a bit different depending on which side of the postcode you land on. Octagon covers all of E15 and E20, from Westfield and the Olympic Park through to Maryland and Forest Gate, including the permit parking, concierge systems and lift bookings that come with the newer developments. 🚛

THE CARBON-FIBRE HOLOGRAPHIC SCREEN 🎬

Musion 3D technology has been behind some extraordinary productions, from major live entertainment to telepresence and immersive experiences.

And they have the records to prove it.

🏆 Guinness World Record 2012
Musion technology delivered 53 simultaneous holographic broadcasts across 26 cities in India.

🏆 Guinness World Record 2015
Musion created the World’s Largest Hologram, measuring 50 metres wide, for Dubai’s Roads & Transport Authority.

Their large-format systems use specialised holographic projection and patented foil technology to create the illusion of life-sized 3D images appearing in front of an audience, without traditional 3D glasses.

We were dealing with large, specialist and extremely valuable equipment

Because when you’re moving technology that has been used to create world-record-breaking holographic experiences, there isn’t much room for mistakes.

Our team took everything from Uxbridge to Stratford, carefully loading and transporting the equipment to its new location at Here East.

📦 Every item logged, photographed and given its own reference number before it even reaches the facility, so nothing's a guessing game when you want it back.

🔐 That's what separates proper storage from a mate's garage or a self-storage unit you have to drive to yourself. Octagon collects straight from your door, stores everything in a 24/7 CCTV-monitored facility, and brings it back on whatever day you pick. No contracts, no rushing, storage that stretches from a few weeks to a few years depending on what you actually need.

Residential or commercial, one wardrobe of boxes or a full office's worth of furniture, every item is packed specifically for storage, not just for a short trip in the van. 🚛
